My story
I was born and raised in the great state of Texas and I have been obsessed with jewelry since I was a little girl. You could always find me in my purple tutu, layers of plastic jewelry, and my father’s cowboy boots.
My love for jewelry developed as I grew older and family heirloom jewelry was passed down to me. I am reminded by each piece of jewelry the love and memories I shared with those that are no longer with me. I took pride in showcasing not only my story, but the stories of those who wore it before me.
As a third-generation Aggie, I was excited to follow in my family’s footsteps at Texas A&M University. I graduated with a B.S. in Construction Science with the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2017. This is where I met my husband and where this dream of mine began. I decided that I wanted to design jewelry that embodied the Aggie spirit, so I began drawing on sticky notes between study sessions at Evans Library. I saved all of my scraps of paper in a folder with hopes that one day they’d become reality.
I started my career in Austin, TX as a Procurement Manager for a luxury custom home builder after graduation. I married the love of my life in May 2019 and while on our honeymoon, I decided to follow my dreams and create the life I wanted to love living. In 2020, I established Adamas Jewelry Designs to share my passion for fine jewelry, designed to be worn every day.
The Brand
Adamas is the greek word for Unconquerable, which is where the word ‘diamond’ originated from. I believe it embodies the human spirit in which we pick ourselves up and try, try again. It serves as a reminder at how far you have come and how far you can go. My mantra is to ‘Be Unconquerable.’
I chose to honor my grandmothers, who have both since passed, in my business because they were two of the first to share their love of jewelry with me. The trillion-cut diamond in my brand matches that of Granny Su’s engagement ring and the rose gold represents BB’s love of roses.
